Ground & access
Steady uphill climb of about 150 feet to the base and 230 feet to the top of the falls. Some eroded, very narrow slopes. The source says it is not a good trail for young children.

This point matches Cussgutter Brook Cascades, also called Compounce Cascades, next to Lake Compounce. The brook drops about 80 feet in a series of cascades, none taller than about 12 feet. From the small parking area, climb the blue-blazed trail with the brook on your left. The main falls end where the trail crosses the brook, about 0.4 mile up. Return the same way.
