Plan your visit
Cave Creek Road gravel lot, up Blue Wash to the wide T junction with Camp Creek, then left to the falls
One source gives 1.1 miles to the T junction plus 0.28 mile to the falls, and another gives 1.4 miles one way. The 2.8-mile return is the one-way figure doubled. The 8-mile figure in the blog is a longer Blue Wash outing to Bartlett Dam Road and is not the distance to this waterfall.

Where to start
A hiking blog directs drivers north from Scottsdale on Pima Road to Cave Creek Road (Forest Road 24), then 6.5 miles to a gravel lot on the left just past the Blue Wash #1 sign. The trail begins near the cottonwood trees across from the lot.
Timing & water
The creek flows only at some times of the year, but the falls may still run when the creek is underground. Flow is best after rain. Check conditions before you go.
Before you go
No fee or permit was named in the sources read. Confirm current rules with Tonto National Forest.
