SC Trails calls the Falls Creek Trail 1.5 miles; the Upcountry South Carolina listing says it is 1.7 miles to the falls. Return the same way.

Strenuous, steep climb on a rocky old road and trail, with creek crossings and slippery rock near the falls. The park calls all its trails advanced.

Where to start

Falls Creek trailhead: from US 276 take River Falls Road, turn right on Duckworth Road, then right on Falls Creek Road and park after the Palmetto Bible Camp entrance, per the listing. HD Carolina describes limited parking and no restrooms at this trailhead.

Register at the trailhead kiosk. HD Carolina says there is no fee station at this trailhead. Jones Gap State Park lists its admission fee for the main park entrance.
