From the trailhead where Sand Siding Road meets the Swatara Rail Trail, go west on the rail trail for 0.2 mile, turn left over the bridge across Swatara Creek, and follow the Sand Siding Trail 0.3 mile to the Bear Hole Trail. Turn left (east) and follow the Bear Hole Trail 1 mile. The cabin is on the right, marked by a sign, next to the falls. Return the same way. The falls often flow lightly except after rain or snowmelt.
