Timing & water

The October 24, 2026 operator notice confirms reopening October 15 for Hanakāpīʻai Beach, Valley and Falls. Overnight camping and continuing along the coastal Kalalau Trail past the two-mile point remain closed. Expect wetter conditions October through April.

Before you go

Nonresidents need park entry and either parking or shuttle reservations through Go Hāʻena. Parking slots limit the permitted stay. Residents with valid Hawaii ID have different entry rules.
